Founded in 1993, the Keenan's Kids Foundation
works to raise awareness on issues related to
child safety. Many of the foundation's projects have earned it national media attention
including the Playground Safety campaign - which teaches parents how to recognize and eradicate
dangers on public playgrounds - and the Toy Safety Campaign - which organizes and releases a list
each December of the year's most dangerous toys. Other safety endeavors include the 4th of July
Safety campaign, the Kids Safety Bulletin, and promotion of
365 Ways to Keep Kids Safe.
The Keenan's Kids Foundation also participates in charitable activities for underprivileged children. Each year the foundation collects and distributes clothing, and each week they prepare and deliver sandwiches to homeless shelters throughout Atlanta.
